Resin Characteristics (Resol Type)
- Type: Resol Phenolic Resin.
- Appearance: Wine red, high-viscosity liquid.
- Glass Transition Temperature (Tg): 170°C.
- Char Yield at 1000°C: 44 wt.%.
- Specific Gravity: 1.115 g/ml.
- Cured Resin Density: 1.19 g/cc.
- Solid Content: 90 wt.% (170°C, 1 hr).
- Volatile Content: 8 wt.% (160°C, 20 min).
C-Phenolic Laminate (T-300 Carbon Fiber)
- Fabric: T-300, 3K 8H satin weave carbon fabric.
- Fibre Areal Weight: 380 GSM.
- Prepreg Areal Weight: 635 GSM.
- Resin Content: 40%.
- Cured Ply Thickness: 0.33 mm.
- Tensile Strength: 822 MPa.
- Flexural Strength: 794 MPa.
- Interlaminar Shear Strength (ILSS): 46 MPa.
G-Phenolic Laminate (7781 Glass Fiber)
- Fabric: 7781, 8H satin weave glass fabric.
- Fibre Areal Weight: 300 GSM.
- Prepreg Areal Weight: 465 GSM.
- Resin Content: 37–38%.
- Cured Ply Thickness: 0.25 mm.
- Tensile Strength: 369 MPa.
- Flexural Strength: 474 MPa.
- Interlaminar Shear Strength (ILSS): 44 MPa.
Cure Cycle
- Heat from Room Temperature → 120°C at 3°C/min.
- Hold at 120°C for 0.5 hours.
- Heat to 180°C at 3°C/min, hold for 2–3 hours.
- Natural cooling to room temperature.
Storage & Shelf Life
- Store at –18°C for best performance.
- Shelf life: 6 months at –18°C.
- Out life: Up to 21 days at 22°C.
