The AZKLM0402 is a high-performance, high-temperature prepreg. It is suitable for mass manufacturing of advanced structures in the aerospace and defense industries. This PN prepreg is highly customizable and process-friendly.
Product Characteristics
The material can be efficiently processed using methods like autoclave, vacuum bagging, and compression moulding.
Type: Solvent free, hot melt prepreg.
Handling: Medium tack and drape characteristics.
Performance: Offers enhanced thermal resistance and operational stability at elevated temperatures.
Applications: Used for near-engine components, thermal protection systems, high-temperature leading edges, and maritime structures.
Optimized Process Parameters
The recommended cure cycle for PHTHALONITRILE COMPOSITES uses vacuum bagging with a non-porous peel ply.
Initial Cure (In Vacuum Bag):
Hold for 1 hour at 100°C (Ramp rate: 3°C/min).
Hold for 4 hours at 200°C (Ramp rate: 1°C/min).
Additional Post-Cure (Free Stand):
Hold for 1 hour at 200°C (Ramp rate: 3°C/min).
Hold for 2 hours at 250°C (Ramp rate: 1°C/min).
Hold for 4 hours at 300°C (Ramp rate: 1°C/min).
Ramping and cooling are done at 1°C/min.
